Steven Wilson and Jon Obi Mikel

Steven Wilson recently collaborated with Jon Obi Mikel, of the London football club Chelsea, on a new promotional project for Foot Locker.  The idea was that a chosen artist was asked to create a piece inspired by an athlete with which they were paired. The collaboration was then documented as short film to play in Foot Locker stores throughout London.

Steven told us, “Jon and I had a conversation on the phone and he told me a bit more about himself. I incorporated much of what we spoke about into my portrait. We then met up and spent the day in a studio where I unveiled the poster to him.”
