Danny Clinch’s work at the Brooklyn Museum

We are proud to announce that Danny Clinch has been included among a world-renowned group of artists showing in Who Shot Rock & Roll: A Photographic History, 1955 to Present opening at the Brooklyn Museum this week.

Two of Danny’s pieces are being exhibited, including his iconic image of Tupac Shakur, which was shown on the cover of Rolling Stone upon his passing away in 1996. Also being shown is the epic photograph of rock band Pavement, a stunning representation of the passion and energy of a live show.

We asked Danny to tell us a bit about this image of Pavement, and the context in which it was shot. Here is what he shared:
“I took this photograph at the Redding Festival in England. It had been very gloomy and wet for days, and all of a sudden a big beam of light came through the sky. What I like about this image is that it was not an assignment, I shot this frame purely out of the love of art and music.”

The show features many rare, never-before-exhibited photographs, and runs from Oct. 30th through Jan 31st. See more at:
